The 2014 SRT Viper has been adding a lot of upgrades already. This one, as far as major changes go, is quite minor in the long run and is meant more to appeal to aesthetic demand than to power.
The Viper is getting a series of additional color choices for aspiring racer to get. The first of three is the Billet Silver which is based on the popular look for the SRT Viper GTS-R racer. Next up is the GTS-R Blue, my personal favorite, and it matches the color that is on the roof of the Viper GTS-R. Finishing off the list of new colors is the Anodized Carbon Special Edition. That’s just a very long and special way of saying matte black.
Color isn’t the only thing being added to the SRT Viper, however. A new traction control feature is being included in future models as well. This new mode is being called “Rain Mode” and is designed for the the purpose of its namesake, having better control in the rain. It is to help drivers handle the supercar under slippery road conditions in an effort to help protect drivers who fulfilled a fantasy of driving a Viper.
With this extra addition, it’s clear that SRT is making sure that the Viper is just as notorious for safety as it is for speed and look.
