SRT Takes Their Vehicles on Tour!

UntitledSRT is taking their products tour and putting them on display for all who come to see.

The team over at SRT has announced that they will be taking all their popular models with them as they travel from coast to coast.  The party starts in Monterey, California at the American Le Mans Series race weekend at Laguna Seca Raceway.

The vehicles will be making this journey over the course of three months.  The lineup making the trip include the Dodge Challenger SRT8, Dodge Charger SRT8, Chrysler 300 SRT8, the new 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT.  The popular 2013 SRT Viper will only be making select appearances.

Lucky fans that attend will get the chance to gaze upon the beautiful creations as well as chat with expert drivers with a vast wealth of knowledge about the SRT cars.  This includes John “Hammer” Palazzolo, Sean Yoder, Jamie Jantz, and Rachel Miller.

No word yet on where it’s an event will take place on the east coast.  Here’s hoping one comes close-by so New York car fans can show up to drool over the amazing works of art that SRT produces.

2013 SRT Viper: Behind the Scenes of the Paint-Job

SRT ViperIt’s a secret and well hidden law of the universe that anything painted in red goes faster. It’s science.

There may be other colors, but red just seems right when it comes to any vehicle with the SRT name attached. It’s the iconic color for the Viper.

These aren’t just any ordinary colors though, as the team at SRT is more than willing to explain, these are specifics colors. Each one designed and researched to convey a message about the car and the driver inside. A new Youtube video put out together shows how thorough the engineers are when it comes to giving a SRT a paint-job.

I’ve never really thought of just how much detail goes into just the paint colors. I suppose if you’re going to invest an obscene amount of money in a vehicle with the purpose of making it fast, then you might as well go the extra mile.

So much is made about what goes on before a car is even put into production, about what’s going on underneath the hood. Not much is really shown about the design process that makes sure that all that power and hard-work comes together in a beautiful package.

2013 SRT Viper is a Beast on the Track

The SRT Viper is a beauty to watch perform. Watching it burn out on a race-track is simply tantalizing. It shows off all the raw power the Viper has.

TFLcar wanted to see a different side to the Viper. They took the super car out to the Sonoma Raceway in Northern California. It also happened to be in the middle of a rain downpour. Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, they even switched off the traction control. The result was recorded in a raw and unedited video that they uploaded to Youtube. Take a look for yourself:

I can’t even imagine what it would be like to be the passenger during those drifts. There seemed to be a combination of fear and adrenaline when her glazed-over eyes peaked out from the passenger seat.

In other news, the Viper also managed to do another incredible thing on the track. In an incredible feat that is a testament to the quality behind its design, the Viper managed to complete a quarter mile in just 11.1 seconds! Drag Time put that video on Youtube as well for people to marvel and drool over.
