The Dodge Demon Gets an Exorcism in New Commercial

The Dodge Demon is one of the coolest vehicles on the market.  It is impossible to see it in action and not be able to take your eyes off of it.  It’s perfectly designed for showing off.  In the hands of experienced drivers and film-makers, the result is beautiful.

Pennzoil has a history of making SRT vehicles look amazing on screen.  They did it for the Dodge SRT Viper in their video “The Last Viper” and have brought that same vision to the Dodge Demon.  Their lastest video is “Exorcising the Demon” and it is just awesome.

The video is a muscle-car junkies dream come true.  No talking, no breakdown of the mechanical side of the Dodge; simply raw and beautifully shot footage of the Demon racing down streets with the constant roar of an engine that sounds like it is about to break the sound-barrier.  The driver races it down streets and around corners as the world around it bends and shakes to its power.  Check it out here:

Viper ACR is Returning to Nurburgring Thanks to Successful Gofundme Campaign

The Dodge Viper ACR may not be the talk of the car world anymore, but that isn’t stopping it from giving the Nurburgring one more go.
The Viper ACR, back in 2011, earned a record lap time of 7:12.13-minute lap. It was the fastest production car on record at the time. Since then, unfortantly, the time has been overcome by others such as Porsche and McLaren. As the glory of the Viper and the ACR wain as it goes out of production and the Dodge Demon is the new popular muscle car, it is time to see if the ACR can make some noise one more time.
This return to the track is thanks to a Gofundme designed to give the ACR another round. Russ Oasis put together the Gofundme with a goal of $159,000 which was raised. The costs handle the transportation and will be putting Dominik Farnbacher back in the seat of the Viper ACR. Farnbacher was the driver when the ACR originally made its record track time.

Newest Dodge Demon Tease Showcases a History Making Feature

The latest in the teases for the Dodge Demon has hit.  In the 11th teaser video for the upcoming monster car, the focus is on a performance feature.  Not just any performance feature, but rather one that will be a first ever.

The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will be the first ever factory production car with a TransBrake.  What this does for the Demon is give it the ability to produce launch forces that no other street legal production car could reach.

What the TransBrake does is provide improved reaction times and more consistent launches.  It uses the steering wheel paddle shifters as a launch trigger.  This change alone gives the Dodge Demon a 30 percent reaction time advantage over foot-brake launches.  How amazing does the Dodge Demon sound right now?

All of this combines with the Demon’s new lightweight brake package to make it worthy of such a monstrous name.  With the endless teases from Dodge and shots from the latest Fast and Furious movie, the wait is getting unbearable.  It certainly seems like Dodge has something cooked up properly to appease all the time they’ve put into previewing every working bit of the Demon.  It won’t be much longer now until the Demon is unleashed.
